Why the change to Activity Messenger?

Thank you for your patience as we transition to our new booking platform, Activity Messenger.


You may be wondering why we made the switch.

 

Earlier this year, I reviewed our costs and discovered that our previous booking system, WellnessLiving, was taking over 10% of our studio’s revenue through various fees and payment processing charges. On top of that, their billing was in US Dollars (USD), which meant our monthly costs fluctuated with the exchange rate.

 

When I asked about this, I was told the company was founded in Canada but operates globally and chose to bill all clients in USD, even those in Canada. Given the ongoing costs and my desire to support Canadian-owned businesses, I began looking for an alternative that aligned more closely with our values.

That search led me to Activity Messenger, a company based and operated in Quebec. I was able to speak directly with one of the owners, and I’m confident that their platform offers everything we need to run the studio, at a significantly lower cost, and with the added benefit of supporting a truly local business.
