Have you ever wondered why we practice yoga?  This series of practicum & practice will introduce you to the deeper principles, philosophy and practices of Yoga, its sister science; Ayurveda and teach a beginners guide to Sanskrit. The class will explore asana, pranayama, chanting, as well as spiritual discourse and lecture. It is a wonderful opportunity to deepen your yoga practice, ask questions, expand your toolbox and connect with yourself (and others) in a meaningful and intentional way. This is a by-donation event. 

Deep Melt: Yin Yoga Workshop

Melt away stress after a long week with this delicious yin practice. We will be using the support of the wall to facilitate an extra sweet release. Known as the quiet practice, Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis and lower spine and aims to increase joint circulation and flexibility. Yin postures are held for three to five minutes which gives the body an opportunity to open and release tension from deeper tissues.

In this workshop, you will get
tips and learn easy-to-use breath practices to support you to experience more restful nights and
happier mornings through better quality sleep. Whether you struggle with winding down at the
end of your day to fall asleep, or staying asleep, we’ve got something for you. You will leave the
workshop feeling more deeply relaxed and empowered to create a better sleeping experience
for yourself.

Pilates 6 week session

Pilates focuses on skillful and intentional movement to build overall physical strength and increased physical awareness to benefit us in our daily lives. Pilates exercises involve the whole body and supports you to strengthen the core, improve balance, increase coordination and decrease stress. It also helps improve joint mobility, postural symmetry and overall flexibility.
